Wrinkle patch manufacturing: formats, shapes and what to specify
Wrinkle patches are the fastest-growing part of our patch line and the easiest to get wrong: the shape and the material decide the wear time, the wear time decides the review score, and both are locked in at the drawing stage. This is how the formats differ and what a brand has to decide before sampling.
Four formats, four different jobs
Hydrocolloid
Adhesive patch that holds a moisture film against the skin. Used for nasolabial folds and overnight spot work.

Cooling gel layer with visible serum load; conforms around the neck and jawline, which is why neck patches usually run in this format.

Forehead Facial Patches — Hydrolysed Gel →Reusable silicone
Washable silicone that relies on occlusion rather than serum. Sold as a durable item, not a consumable, so pack counts and tin/box formats matter more than fill volume.

One production line covers all of these — the die changes, the material usually does not. Brands typically launch with one shape, then extend once the first SKU sells through.

What you actually specify
Shape and die-cut
The drawing matters more than the material here: buyers order forehead, frown, eye, nasolabial, lip, neck and chest shapes from the same line. Provide a sketch or a physical sample and the die follows.
Material and thickness
Hydrocolloid, bio-cellulose jelly, hydrolysed gel or silicone — thickness drives both the wear time and the price, and it is the first thing to fix before sampling.
Actives
Patches carry whatever the serum carries. Concentration and stability route are set per project; our formulation team of 12 runs the stability work alongside sampling.
Packaging
Single-sheet foil pouch is the standard; box sets of 5–20 pieces are common for retail, and reusable silicone usually goes into a tin or a multi-piece box.
MOQ
Private-label wrinkle patches start at 500 sets per SKU from an existing formula; standard catalog production is 1,000 units per SKU, and fully custom development is quoted per project.
Lead time
Depends on the route: existing-formula private label runs shorter (catalogue items ship in approx. 20 days after confirmation), while new tooling plus custom formulation adds time.
Verifying the factory behind the patches
Patches are cheap to mock up and expensive to get wrong at scale, so check the plant before the packaging brief: our Grade D cleanroom report, the SGS-issued GMPC and ISO 22716 certificates, the amfori BSCI social audit and the FDA facility registration are all published with their numbers so a buyer can check them against the issuing bodies.

Are wrinkle patches a cosmetic or a medical device?▾
That depends on the claims made for them and on your market, not on the format. We manufacture cosmetic skin-care patches and we do not present them as medical devices or make drug-type claims. If your brand plan needs a specific regulatory position in your market, tell us the destination and we will list the documents we can supply — cosmetic notification and safety documentation, not device clearance.
What is the minimum order quantity for wrinkle patches?▾
Private label from 500 sets per SKU on an existing formula, standard catalog production from 1,000 units per SKU. MOQ does not change by shape or by destination market.
Can you make a patch with our own serum?▾
Yes. Patches are a carrier: the serum, active level, thickness and shape are specified together. Send the formula or describe the target, and the R&D team will confirm whether the viscosity and the patch material are compatible — that check happens before any tooling is committed.
Can you match a patch we already sell?▾
Usually. Send a physical sample or a precise drawing plus the material you believe it uses, and we will confirm material, thickness, adhesive and serum load against our production file before quoting. Cutting a new die is routine; matching an unknown adhesive is the part that needs the sample first.
