Indicative unit prices at those volumes are $0.08–$0.35 per sheet mask, $0.10–$0.50 per eye mask, $1.50–$5.00 per serum bottle and $1.80–$6.00 per cream jar, with final pricing depending on formula, packaging and volume. Branded samples ship in 3–7 days, and bulk production runs approximately 20 days after you confirm the sample, with a 30% deposit starting the line and the 70% balance due before shipment. In practice, the cheapest route to market is an existing catalog formula in a stocked format, because it needs no development cycle. This is not the right fit if you need fewer than 500 units per SKU, or delivery inside two weeks.
What Is MOQ in Skincare Manufacturing?
MOQ (minimum order quantity) is the smallest production run a factory will accept for one SKU. Our MOQ starts at 500 units for private label and scales with the depth of customization — the more formula work your product needs, the higher the entry point.
A minimum order quantity exists because every production run has fixed setup costs: ingredient sourcing, formula weighing, filling line changeover, stability testing, and documentation. Spreading those costs across a small run pushes the unit price up; across a larger run it comes down. That is why our private label tier starts at 500 units per SKU while custom OEM work from your own formula starts at 1,000, and full custom R&D starts at 3,000+.
For a new brand, the practical implication is simple: launch with one or two best-seller SKUs at private label MOQ, validate the market, then scale volume to unlock better unit economics. Many of the brands we supply started exactly this way.
