Carolina had been sourcing private label skincare from local Mexican manufacturers but wanted better pricing and more innovative formulas — specifically hydrogel masks and vitamin C serums that were trending across Latin America.

The barrier was COFEPRIS. Mexican cosmetic import regulations require a health registration for each SKU, and the process can take 3-6 months if documentation isn't perfect. Most Chinese manufacturers couldn't provide the required paperwork.

Skincraftlab had experience with COFEPRIS submissions. We prepared complete technical files for each product — formulation sheets with INCI names, stability studies, microbiological test reports, and free sale certificates — all formatted to COFEPRIS requirements.

We also handled the labeling compliance: Spanish ingredient lists per NOM-141-SSA1, net content declarations, and manufacturer identification. Carolina's products arrived at the port with labels that passed customs inspection on the first try.

Belleza Natural launched 8 SKUs across Mexico City and Guadalajara. The COFEPRIS process that Carolina feared became a non-event. She has placed 4 repeat orders in 12 months and is now planning expansion into Colombia and Brazil.
